Getting set up in the system

Please email us to get started. We will reply with your service dates and code with a few steps to finish getting set up.

Payment

The service fee is $9 per month and includes two pickups per month. Each pickup is for one 18-gallon bin. There is a $9 startup fee to cover the cost of our bin and time to get you set up. Most customers choose to pay for six months at a time, or $63 the first time and $54 each renewal. We've added a Subscription button for automatic monthly payment and will waive the $9 setup fee if you participate. Or checks can be made payable to Gunner’s Glass Recycling and mailed to PO Box 68364 Nashville, TN 37206.

Bin Delivery

Bin delivery will occur during the first service. If you have extra glass for the first pickup, please leave it on your porch and we will take care of it. If there is more than one bin of glass, we will deduct an extra month’s payment from your account. Unfortunately, our trailer space is limited and we can only get one bin per customer per pickup on our normal route.

Regular Service

The pickup schedule is posted on our Service Schedule page. We send an email reminder the day before service to help you remember. Please have your bins out by 8:00am on the day of service.

Renewals

We will email you before your next payment is due as a reminder. Our policy allows a one-month grace period, but then you will be removed from the route if your payment is not current. Our service is similar to a subscription and is intended to be continuous to help reduce the costs of switching customers in/out of routes. We keep our price low to you by only offering one service frequency.

Holidays

Shifts in service for holidays will be announced at the beginning of each month. If weather doesn’t permit us to perform our service, we will email to confirm we didn’t pick up your glass and will return to pick it up within two days.

Service Courtesies/Policies

If we accidentally missed your bin on regular pickup, please email and we will do our best to timely come back to get it.

We provide service from your front porch because our bins tend to get stolen (or collected by the trash guys) from the alley. We keep our price low by having bins on the front porch as our standard service location. Our eyes are trained to find it there!

Our service is for one bin per customer per pickup. If you need a second bin, we are happy to deliver and provide service for that bin.

The first lost/stolen bin replacement is on us. You’ll incur the $9 fee for any additional replacements. (It’s only happened once in three years!)

We only pickup standard recyclable glass. No windows, plate glass, etc.

Please remember we expect bins to be sanitary – please keep glass clean of excessive amounts of food and no standing rain water in the bins. We will not take away bins full of stagnant water. If you need a new lid, we will happily replace for free.

If you need to take a break from service, we completely understand, but the setup fee will be incurred when service is resumed.
